PROJECT MANAGEMENT FUNDAMENTALS

At any point in one’s career, you will be faced to manage a project, simple or complex. Are you ready to take that responsibility? Are you given options on how to administer your project or will you just follow how projects are currently being administered in your organization? Do you have the confidence to propose something new that proves to be more cost effective and efficient?

Our Project Management Fundamentals Course provides a practical approach to project management. Real world business case scenarios will show what works and what doesn’t especially in the context of being an "Occasional Project Manager". This program is designed to give those employees a head start and an accelerated understanding of the practice. The program will help them navigate and survive the transition to becoming a fully capable and well equipped project manager.

OVERVIEW

This 2-day course will provide an overview and the similarities of the different Project Management methodologies such as PMBOK-PMP (Project Management Body of Knowledge), basic concepts of PRINCE (Project in Controlled Environments), and elements of Agile Project Management. How its approach to the same topics and the core ideas behind it were tailored for different types of projects. For example, PRINCE is more tailored for large, complex projects, Agile more for software development, and PMP is a good all-round approach, and more flexible.

The course also features how proper project management methodologies and techniques can be integrated with Quality and Service Management frameworks for successful implementation. Highlighted are similarities and processes that are part and parcel of ITIL, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library; with its close relationships not only with Project Management best practices in general but specifically also PRINCE and PMBOK.
